About 150 first-year students of Sampurna Nand (SN) Medical College in Jodhpur took out a march on Friday to protest against the high-handed behaviour of the college's academic head.
The students also submitted a memorandum to the district collector and the divisional commissioner.
The students alleged that the academic head, Jay Ram Ravtani, threatens them saying "I will bury you alive and I will see that at least 30 of you fail in the class this year." Ravtani, the students claimed, often boasts saying "even if some of you commit suicide, I am not going to be removed from the college."
The students have been at the receiving end ever since Wednesday when they were caught singing songs in the presence of their physiology professor Jayant Kumar.
The college authorities allegedly made them stand in the sun for about two hours and got all the 150 students suspended for a week.
